Which USDC network to use

Network choice decides most of what you pay in fees, and getting it wrong is the one mistake that loses funds outright. Match the network shown on the private payment page exactly.

The case for paying with USDC

• Low BNB Smart Chain transaction fees and quick settlement.
• Dollar-denominated, so the displayed asset amount is straightforward to check.
• Dollar-pegged, so no price movement between sending and confirmation.
• Widely available on exchanges that support BEP20 withdrawals.

The case against

• Thinner P2P liquidity than USDT in Nigeria, Pakistan and Egypt — if you are buying with local currency from a dealer, they will usually quote USDT.
• The accepted BSC token is Binance-Peg USDC, a bridged representation rather than native Circle-issued USDC.
• USDC exists on many chains, so the wrong-network hazard is unusually easy to miss.

Where to get USDC

• An exchange that explicitly offers a USDC withdrawal over BNB Smart Chain (BEP20).
• A BSC wallet holding the exact Binance-Peg USDC contract displayed at checkout.
• If your USDC is on another chain, use a reputable bridge or exchange before checkout; never send it directly across chains.

Why the fee difference matters more than it looks

BNB Smart Chain normally keeps a subscription-sized token transfer inexpensive. The exact wallet or exchange withdrawal fee still varies and is separate from the amount the recipient must receive.

Buying a longer term uses one transfer rather than repeated monthly transfers, which also reduces the number of network-fee events and wrong-network opportunities.

You still need BNB for gas

A self-custody wallet cannot move BEP20 USDC without a small BNB balance. The network fee is paid in BNB, not in USDC, so holding exactly the displayed token amount and zero BNB is not enough to submit the transfer.

An exchange usually deducts or charges its withdrawal fee separately. Read its confirmation screen and make sure the recipient will receive the full displayed USDC amount.

• Keep a small BNB balance in any BSC wallet you intend to send from.
• Confirm the recipient amount after any exchange withdrawal fee.
• If a send fails with an insufficient-funds error while your USDC balance is clearly sufficient, this is almost always the cause.

The accepted USDC contract matters

The payment page displays the Binance-Peg USDC contract `0x8AC76a51cc950d9822D68b83fE1Ad97B32Cd580d`. Compare it with the token selected in your wallet; a ticker and logo can be copied by unrelated tokens.

Send only on BNB Smart Chain. USDC on Base or Ethereum can use an identical-looking 0x destination but lands on a different ledger and does not satisfy the order.

Why USDC rather than USDT for this purchase

Both work identically and neither is meaningfully better for a one-off subscription payment. The honest answer is that you should use whichever you already hold, because converting one to the other costs a spread and a fee for no benefit.

If you are acquiring from scratch, compare USDC-BEP20 with USDT on TRON or BSC. In P2P markets you may find deeper USDT liquidity, so use the supported asset and network you can acquire without an extra risky bridge.
